The Allen, Boks, Hickmon, Zigler Family Reunion was started as a way to come together for a happy occasion.  The scholarship fund evolved as our way to show family unity to support our deserving youth in their efforts to further their education.

Scholarship Guidelines
 

New Applicants should:
1.  be an active participating member of the Family Reunion two of their four years of high school. A letter of explanation from parent/grandparent as to student’s non-participation at family reunions may be submitted with the other documents.
2.  be a member of the current year graduation class with plans to continue his/her education at an institution of higher learning—(two or four-year college, technical or vocational college).
3.  attach a copy of the Acceptance Letter and/or Class Schedule from the institution of higher learning (as stated above.)
4.  write a 200-word essay entitled “What Does Family Reunion Means to Me and What Can Be Done to Get More Involvement from the Youth.” The essay must be typed, double-spaced, and attached to the application.
5.  submit/mail/email completed Application Form below with documents to a Scholarship Committee Member of choice by August 30.
 
Renewing Applicants should:
 
1.  be continuously enrolled in college to remain eligible.
2.  provide a typed written update of college status, experiences, and continued plans.
3.  attach a copy of Class Schedule from the institution of higher learning.
4.  submit/mail/email completed Application Form with documents to a Scholarship Committee Member by August 30.
